Inbound Vessel

This function is used to receive items when a vessel arrives. You may receive the entire contents of the vessel, or any portion of items. There are four main sections to this screen.

Vessel Info

This section is used to enter details about the vessel. These details will remain the same for all items you're receiving from this vessel.

  1. Enter the Vessel #. This could be the IMO or VIN number, or any other identifying number for the vessel.
  2. You may enter the Vessel Descrip. This is a description of the type of vessel, such as bulk carrier or container ship. This will help you distinguish this vessel from a bunch of others in the list.
  3. You may enter the Manifest # from the invoice for this vessel.
  4. You may select the Carrier from the drop down list to identify that UPS, FedEx, or another carrier delivered the shipment. The Carrier Name will be filled into the field below.

Container Info

This section is used to enter details about a container from the vessel. The container can be a single item, or it could contain several boxes that you will also enter into the software. These details will remain the same for all items within the container. It's also possible that you will receive more than one container from this vessel.

  1. You may enter the Type of container you're receiving from the drop down list. Depending on your selection, you'll be able to enter more details about this container in the fields below.

  3. You may enter the Description of the container to help you identify it from other containers later.
